A Fiber Splicing Specialist, is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic cables and the precise fusion splicing of optical fibers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fusion splicing to join optical fibers with minimal signal loss, ensuring high-quality connections
• Strip, clean, and cleave optical fibers to prepare them for splicing
• Handle and manage fiber optic cables with care to prevent damage or contamination
• Conduct optical fiber testing
• Troubleshoot and diagnose fiber optic cable issues, including identifying faults and breaks
• Maintain accurate records of all splicing and testing activities
• Ensure that splicing work meets industry standards, specifications, and customer requirements
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines

Must Haves Qualities & Talents:

• A deep understanding of fiber optics, splicing equipment, and optical network technology is essential
• Attention to Detail

• Patiente and adaptability
• Laguages Dutch and/or French
