A Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Site Survey Specialist is responsible for conducting surveys and assessments of residential areas and properties to determine the feasibility and requirements for FTTH installations. Their primary goal is to gather crucial information and assess the readiness of a
location for the deployment of fiber optic broadband services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit residential properties and locations where FTTH installations are planned
• Evaluate the physical characteristics of the site, such as building structure, available infrastructure, and potential obstacles
• Determine the feasibility of FTTH installations, considering factors such as proximity to existing fiber networks, property accessibility, and any potential technical challenges
• Interact with property owners or residents to gain access, explain the survey purpose, and obtain any necessary permissions
• Document detailed information about each site, including measurements, photographs, and notes regarding existing infrastructure, wiring, and potential installation routes
• Identify any physical barriers or obstacles that may affect the installation, such as difficult terrain, rights-of-way, or permitting requirements
• Estimate installation costs based on site conditions and any additional equipment or labor requirements
• Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers or engineers, providing a comprehensive overview of site survey findings, including feasibility, potential challenges, and estimated costs
