Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of comprehensive public affairs and communication strategies, aligned with DIGI's objectives and values, with a primary focus on promoting the deployment of its fibre and mobile networks;

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate public affairs considerations into the company’s plans and initiatives, and vice versa;

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including government and regulatory agencies as well as industry partners, to advocate for DIGI’s projects;

  • Monitor, analyse, respond to consultations, and lobby on legislative and regulatory developments affecting the telecommunications sector in Belgium, providing timely insights to internal teams;

  • Participate in and/or take the lead in driving the company’s advocacy efforts to influence policies and regulations relevant to supporting corporate objectives;

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of crisis communications to safeguard the company’s reputation during challenging situations;

  • Develop and implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to enhance the company’s image and community engagement;

  • Lead thought leadership initiatives to position the company as a key player in the telecommunications sector.

Job requirements

Must Haves Qualities & Talents:

  • Master’s Degree in Law;

  • Experience: extensive experience in public affairs/advocacy roles;

  • Experience with working on telecom or media matters preferred;

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex matters in simple and understandable manner;

  • Results driven, validated experience leading strategic projects with ability to work independently and efficiently;

  • Intercultural awareness and innovative mindset;

  • Fluency (oral and written) in English, and either Dutch or French;
