    Citymesh NV, European leader in providing both permanent and temporary business connectivity solutions based on advanced WiFi, 0G, 4G and 5G technologies, is seeking a RAN Engineer that has a profound interest or a strong background in Radio Access Networks for mobile private 4G/5G.

    As a RAN Engineer, you will be at the cornerstone of turning connectivity into operational value, both for Citymesh and its customers. You will be responsible for developing solution tracks in your area of expertise, bringing together novel technologies, industry trends and customer demands in order to expand or optimize our B2B portfolio.

    More specifically, as a RAN Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing RAN solutions to meet the evolving needs of our mobile private network (MPN) customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of RAN technologies into our and our customers’ network infrastructure, driving efficiency, performance, and reliability.

    On a day to day basis, you will interact with both internal and external stakeholders in order to capture their needs, and to serve as a technical expert in your field of expertise.


    Here's What You'll Dive Into:

    • Design Radio Access Network solutions tailored to meet specific business and technical requirements.

    • Evaluate new technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and enhance RAN capabilities or features.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define architecture, and develop implementation strategies.

    • Implement improvements and optimizations based on the deep-dive analysis of drive/walk test in order to maximize the RAN network efficiency and reliability

    • Provide technical guidance and support to external partners, clients and internal teams, like (pre-)sales, on RAN-related matters

    • Configure Nokia Airscale SCF and deploy the RAN components, ensuring that the network is optimized for maximum performance and reliability.

    • Participate in the planning and design of the RAN infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the requirements of the network and is scalable to accommodate future growth.

    Must Have Qualities & Talents



  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Nokia Airscale Experience: Prior hands-on experience with the Nokia Airscale portfolio is essential, including configuring SCF files and deploying RAN components.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of LTE/NR signaling, mobility (4G/5G interoperability), and 3GPP Radio Access Technologies (RAT), including air interfaces, network signaling, and Layer 2/3 protocols for both UE and RAN.
  • Nokia NetAct Tools: Experience with Nokia NetAct Network Management tools, like CM editor, is beneficial.
  • Voice Capabilities: Familiarity with native voice capabilities in 4G and 5G networks (VoLTE, VoNR) is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities for troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
  • Deployment Experience: Proven experience in deploying and maintaining Nokia RAN infrastructure, working with various radio access technologies and network topologies.
  • Planning & Design: Involvement in planning and designing scalable RAN infrastructure that supports current and future network requirements.
  • Office Requirement: Willingness to work at the office at least 3 days per week.
