To support us in this mission, we are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Buyer. The Technical Buyer will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end procurement process for fiber-related projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, particularly within the telecommunications or fiber industry.

Your key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the objectives of the Fiber Department
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and establish procurement strategies
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for fiber related materials and services
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements
• Monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing for fiber-related procurement
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or timeline
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to establish and maintain quality standards for fiber materials and services
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality requirements
• Draft and review contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
• Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations as needed
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities within the Fiber Department
• Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions to the supply chain
• Work closely with the Fiber Department, Project Managers and other relevant teams to understand procurement needs and priorities
• Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Our expectations:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Proven experience as a Buying Expert, preferably in the telecommunications or fiber industry
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation and supplier management
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with fiber optics and related technologies is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in English and Dutch and/or French
