Welcome to the Citymesh Research team! As a 5G Radio & RAN Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing next-generation network solutions for private and public applications. With a focus on ownership and collaboration, you will contribute to innovative projects and ensure the successful implementation of cutting-edge technologies. You’ll join a dynamic team where everyone has their own area of expertise, ensuring a diverse scope of tasks and an opportunity to collaborate across various domains.

Here's what you'll dive into:

• Design and evaluate radio network solutions, focusing on 5G technologies, including small cell and indoor deployments.

• Configure and optimize RAN parameters to ensure top-notch performance and reliability.

• Integrate gNBs with core network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity.

• Collaborate internationally on research initiatives to explore advancements in 5G technologies.

• Utilize test and measurement tools for network analysis and troubleshooting.

• Support deployment and maintenance of private and public 5G networks.

• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.

• Assist with site surveys, RF planning, and performance assessments.

Must Have Qualities & Talents

• A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required (a master’s or PhD is a plus).

• 1 to 2 years of proven experience in telecom engineering with a focus on 5G and radio access networks.

• Solid knowledge of RAN design, configuration, and optimization principles.

• Familiarity with test and measurement tools for wireless networks (e.g., spectrum analyzers, RF planning software).

• Hands-on experience with integrating gNBs and core networks.

• Proficiency in IP networking, systems administration, and telecom protocols.

• Awareness of industry trends, including small cell radios and indoor network solutions.

• The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing projects independently while delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience in deploying 5G private and public networks.

• A strong understanding of virtualization and cloud-native 5G architectures.

• Relevant certifications in telecommunications or networking.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
