As we evolve from startup to scale-up, we're enhancing our team with a Data Analyst position to support all domains of our organization from our offices in Brussels (and in some occasions in Oostkamp).
The BI & Data Analysis Expert will be crucial in supporting strategic decision-making & customer behavior through ad-hoc analysis and insights. This role is tailored for a professional skilled in translating complex business questions into data-driven solutions using a variety of internal and external data sources.
Your Key Responsibilities as a BI & Data Analysis Expert will include:
- Build a data pipeline to collect data from third party applications into SQL databases.
- Utilize Python and SQL to conduct comprehensive data analyses, translating business needs into actionable insights.
- Create meaningful visuals to illustrate insights.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand and fulfill their data analysis needs.
- Employ advanced analytical techniques to model and predict future trends (e.g. sales, finance & inventory forecasting).
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analyses.
Job requirements
Must Haves Qualities & Talents:
- Ability to cope with uncertainty and to establish foundations in a context of scaling up, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
- Experience using Looker Data Platform (not Looker Studio) is a plus.
- Expertise in Python and SQL, with a proven track record in data analysis and visualization.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of capturing complex requirements and delivering meaningful insights.
- Excellent consulting skills, including stakeholder management, effective communication, and the flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in telecom, ecommerce, consulting or technology industries.
- Proficient in English and in Dutch or French.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and a commitment to providing actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and articulate complex data concepts in a clear, understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging digital, logistics, geo spatial, sales, marketing, customer care and/or infrastructure data.
- Skills in building data driven automation processes (e.g. module processing inputs & outputting predictions/estimations) is a plus.
- Data engineering skills is a plus but can be a differentiator.
- Specific experience in building Marketing Campaign & customer behavior insights (linking campaign data, Google Analytics, sales & customer care data) is a huge plus.
