The Creative Director is responsible for leading and implementing the creative vision and execution of marketing campaigns and branding strategies to ensure consistency and alignment with the company’s goals. This role bridges the gap between marketing strategy and creative execution, overseeing the development of content, visuals, messaging, and other creative assets that define the brand’s identity across all marketing channels.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Vision & Strategy:
    • Co-Define and lead the creative direction for marketing campaigns, ensuring that the visual and messaging elements align with the company’s brand and marketing objectives.
    • Collaborate with marketing leadership to develop creative strategies that support brand positioning, product launches, and market growth.
    • Translate business goals into innovative and engaging creative concepts across all platforms (digital, print, TV, social media, guerilla,etc.).
  2. Campaign & Content Development & Execution:
    • Lead the creative development process for marketing campaigns and day to day content calendars from concept to execution, ensuring a cohesive message across all touchpoints.
    • Direct and oversee the creation and delivery of marketing materials such as advertisements, promotional videos, digital banners, social media content, email campaigns, and print collateral.
    • Ensure that all creative outputs maintain high standards in terms of design, messaging, and brand integrity.
  3. People management & Collaboration:
    • Lead and coach a team of designers, developers, copywriters, content creators, and other creative professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, sales, and external agencies, to ensure alignment on creative goals and brand strategy.
    • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to the creative team to enhance the quality of work and encourage professional growth.
  4. Brand Management:
    • Maintain and evolve the company’s visual identity, tone of voice, messaging,… ensuring consistency in branding across all marketing efforts and communication channels.
    • Develop and enforce brand guidelines, ensuring all creative materials adhere to brand standards and effectively communicate the brand's essence.
    • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring that all creative work reflects the company’s core values and resonates with target audiences.
  5. Innovation & Trends:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and new technologies to ensure the company’s marketing remains relevant and cutting-edge.
    • Introduce new creative concepts, design techniques, and campaign ideas to keep the brand fresh and competitive in the market.
    • Drive innovation in marketing campaigns by experimenting with new creative formats, storytelling approaches, and digital experiences.
  6. Resource Management:
    • Manage external creative vendors, such as design agencies, video production teams, and freelancers, to ensure high-quality output within project timelines and budgets.
    • Ensure that creative projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  7. Performance & Optimization:
    • Collaborate with analytics teams to measure the effectiveness of creative campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine and optimize future creative efforts.
    • Continuously assess the impact of creative assets on audience engagement, brand perception, and overall marketing performance.
    • Implement feedback loops to improve creative output based on performance metrics and audience feedback.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Creative Vision & Innovation: Strong ability to conceptualize unique, compelling, and strategic creative ideas that align with business goals and resonate with target audiences.
  • Creative Expertise: Deep understanding of graphic design, video production, copywriting, typography, and other creative disciplines that shape marketing campaigns.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage creative teams, while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional departments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to bridge the gap between creative and business, ensuring all creative outputs support broader marketing objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), digital marketing platforms, and project management tools.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to market changes, and implement feedback to improve creative processes and outputs.


Qualifications:

  • Masters degree or equivalent in experience in Design, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in creative direction, marketing, advertising, or related fields, with a focus on brand development and marketing campaigns.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing a range of creative work, including successful marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Proficiency in Dutch, French and English is required.
