We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Expert to join our dynamic team. The Data Center Expert will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data center technologies, best practices, and a proven track record of managing and optimizing data center operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan and implement data center infrastructure, including server rooms, networking equipment, and storage solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and systems
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the data center, including monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting
• Implement and maintain best practices for server and storage infrastructure
• Monitor data center performance and identify areas for improvement
• Implement changes and upgrades to optimize resource utilization and energy efficiency
• Implement and manage security measures to safeguard the data center against potential threats
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data center security
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data center resilience in the face of unexpected events
• Conduct regular drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of disaster recovery procedures
• Conduct regular capacity assessments to anticipate and address future data center growth and demands
• Recommend and implement scalable solutions to accommodate the organization's evolving needs
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of data center configurations, changes and procedures
• Create and update documentation for data center architecture and topologies

Must Haves Qualities & Talents:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Center Expert or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of data center technologies, including servers, storage, networking and virtualization
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in English and Dutch and/or French
