As a Facility Expert you will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of our physical spaces. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accommodation Preparation: Overseeing the preparation of accommodations and conducting inspections to ensure they meet our standards.
- Housing Logistics & Supplies: Managing the provision and replenishment of furniture, appliances, and essential supplies.
- Communication and Support: Providing orientations upon arrival in terms of facilities, implementing house rules, addressing facility-related issues.
- Health and Hygiene: Arranging cleaning services and maintaining proper waste disposal practices.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring compliance with local regulations, maintaining records, and ensuring all documentation is complete
- Communication with Other Departments & Employees: Coordinating with HR to facilitate check-in/check-out procedures, and liaising with the finance and legal departments to ensure all financial matters are current and compliant. Maintain open lines of communication with employees regarding housing-related matters, including updates, house rules, waste management
- Procurement & other services: Communicate regularly with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of services and address any issues that may arise.
- Cultural Sensitivity and Inclusivity: Promoting an inclusive and culturally sensitive environment for all workers.
- Feedback Collection: Collecting feedback to continuously improve our services and providing regular updates to management.
Job requirements
Our expectations:
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, a related field or equivalent through experience
- Proven experience in facility management, with a focus on technical competence
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail
- Adaptability to navigate and manage various facility challenges
- Safety-focused mindset with experience in safety and prevention practices (considered a bonus
- Excellent communication skills in English and Romanian; proficiency in French or Dutch is a big plus
- Eager to learn, hands-on and entrepreneurial
